Who we are

Beacon Family Medicine follows the DPC model. What does this mean?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a simple, modern way to get healthcare. Instead of dealing with co-pays, surprise bills, or rushed appointments, you pay a flat monthly membership fee. That fee covers nearly all of your primary care—checkups, urgent visits, chronic care, and more.

Core features:

  • Membership model: Patients pay a predictable monthly fee

  • Unlimited access: Covers all routine primary care services—checkups, chronic disease management, urgent visits, basic procedures.

  • Direct relationship: No insurance billing. Patients deal directly with the physician.

  • Extended access: Unlimited visits with your doctor, in person or by phone/video. At Beacon we offer same-day or next-day appointments, longer visits, telemedicine, and secure phone/text/email access.

  • Transparent pricing: Labs, imaging, are offered heavily discounted rates.

Key difference from traditional care:
Instead of billing insurance for each visit or service, the DPC model removes third-party payers from routine primary care. Insurance is still recommended for catastrophic or specialty care, but DPC covers the bulk of everyday healthcare needs.

Why it matters:
DPC removes the insurance middleman so you can have a direct, lasting relationship with your doctor. It means better access, clearer costs, and care that puts you first.
