Frequently Asked Questions about Direct Primary Care

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
DPC is a membership-based healthcare model. Instead of paying per visit or using insurance, you pay a flat monthly fee that covers most of your primary care needs.

Do I still need health insurance?
Yes. DPC covers routine and preventive care, but you should keep insurance for hospital stays, specialists, or emergencies. Many patients choose a lower-cost, high-deductible plan to pair with DPC.

What services are included in my membership?
Your membership covers office visits, chronic disease management, urgent care visits, preventive care, care coordination, and communication with your doctor by phone, text, or video. Many basic labs and procedures are also included or offered at low cost.

How is this different from concierge medicine?
Concierge practices usually bill insurance and charge an extra annual fee, often thousands of dollars. DPC is more affordable, transparent, and does not bill insurance at all—just your monthly membership.

Can I really see my doctor as often as I need?
Yes. Your membership includes unlimited visits, so you don’t need to worry about extra costs when scheduling care.

What if I need labs, medications, or imaging?
We work with wholesale suppliers and local partners to provide labs, prescriptions, and imaging at a fraction of typical prices. You’ll always know the cost up front.

Can families join?
Yes. We offer family plans that make it affordable for children, adults, and seniors to all have access to care. Unfortunately we currently do not take patients enrolled in Medicare

What if I need a specialist or hospital care?
We’ll help coordinate your care with trusted local specialists and hospitals. Your DPC membership ensures you have a strong foundation in primary care, while insurance covers the bigger medical events.
